Printing is such a magical process. I've been 'learning' printing since my teens and yet I'm sure I have only scratched the surface of what's possible.

I have a beautiful Victorian mangle press which is on long-term loan, and I do relief printing on it, using mostly either lino, vinyl or wood. Really I do it for fun. It is one of the most absorbing things I do; I'm constantly surprised at how much shorter a printing day is than any other kind of day.....

 

I'm inspired by nature and my environment mostly; special places, cold water swimming, aerial views and washing lines are subjects I seem to keep coming back to....

I use water-based inks on acid free heavy printing paper such as Somerset and Fabriano and produce vey small editions; not more than 10 usually.
